In straight-line terms CDG is closer still, but the road distance is the figure that decides your journey time. Is there an airport at Disneyland Paris?
No. There is no Disneyland Paris airport, and no airport in Marne-la-Vallee, Chessy or Val d’Europe takes passenger flights. What the resort does have is its own railway station, Marne-la-Vallee Chessy, a few steps from the park gates, served by the RER A from central Paris and by TGV high-speed trains, including the direct link from CDG. Closest airport by train: only CDG has a direct link
If you want to avoid the road altogether, CDG is not just the nearest airport but the only one with a direct train. High-speed TGV services leave the CDG Terminal 2 TGV station, in the middle of Terminal 2, and the first stop is Marne-la-Vallee Chessy, about 10 to 12 minutes later. Departures run roughly from early morning to late evening with gaps of 30 minutes to well over an hour, and tickets are sold by SNCF at prices that rise as the train fills, so book ahead if you rely on it. From Orly there is no direct train: Metro line 14 now runs from the airport into Paris, where you change to the RER A at Gare de Lyon, well over an hour in total. From Beauvais there is no rail link at all, only the coach to Porte Maillot and then the Metro and RER A, which is why Beauvais arrivals are the ones that benefit most from a direct Disneyland Paris airport transfer.
Closest airport for UK and US flights
Most flights from the UK and Ireland land at CDG (British Airways, Air France, easyJet, Aer Lingus) or at Orly (easyJet and some Vueling and Transavia routes), while Ryanair uses Beauvais. Transatlantic flights from the US and Canada almost all use CDG, which makes the closest airport the default for long-haul visitors anyway. Which airport should you choose?
- Families with young children: CDG. The shortest drive, the most flights and the only direct train make it the least tiring arrival.

Charles de Gaulle: the closest airport to Disney Paris
CDG is France’s main international gateway and the obvious choice for Disneyland Paris. The resort lies almost due south-east of the airport, and the connection is a single motorway chain — the A104 “Francilienne” down to the A4, then straight into Marne-la-Vallee. There is no city centre to negotiate and no river to cross.
Practically, that means an arriving family clears passport control and baggage, meets a driver in the arrivals hall, and is at their hotel check-in desk inside an hour in ordinary conditions. CDG is also the only Paris airport with a direct rail option to the resort: a handful of TGV services run from the station at Terminal 2 to Marne-la-Vallee Chessy in about 12 minutes. CDG spreads across three terminal areas, and the one you land in changes your walk to the pickup point rather than your drive. Terminal 1 serves Star Alliance carriers, Terminal 2 is the Air France and SkyTeam hub split into halls 2A to 2G, and Terminal 3 handles charter and some low-cost traffic. Orly: the second nearest airport
Orly is roughly 50 km from Disneyland Paris by road, and the drive usually runs 50 to 70 minutes. On paper that is only marginally slower than CDG, and outside peak hours the difference is small. The catch is that the route skirts the southern and eastern edge of Paris, so it is more exposed to congestion: the same journey that takes 45 minutes on a quiet Sunday can take 75 minutes on a Friday evening.
Orly is worth choosing when it genuinely suits your flight. It handles a lot of European and domestic traffic, and for travellers coming from southern Europe or North Africa the schedules are often better than CDG’s. Beauvais: the farthest, and why the cheap flight can still cost you
Beauvais-Tille is marketed as a Paris airport but sits about 85 km north of the capital and roughly 115 km by road from Disneyland Paris, with a drive of 90 to 105 minutes depending on traffic around Paris. It is a low-cost base, so headline fares can be genuinely low, and for some routes it is the only direct option.
The honest arithmetic is this: a Beauvais flight has to be cheaper than a CDG flight by more than the extra transfer cost before it saves you anything, and it still costs you roughly an extra hour in each direction. With small children at the end of a travel day, that hour is not a small thing. Distance is not the whole story: four things that matter more
Arrival time. A late-evening landing changes the calculation completely. Public transport thins out after about 22:00 and the last useful RER connections leave earlier than most people expect, so a distant airport at 23:00 is a much bigger problem than the same airport at noon.
