Disneyland Paris to the Eiffel Tower: Getting There

Swap the castle for the Iron Lady for a day — how to travel from Disneyland Paris to the Eiffel Tower simply and comfortably.

Many guests build a Paris sightseeing day into their resort stay, and the journey from Disneyland Paris to the Eiffel Tower is one of the most requested. The Tower stands in the heart of the city, about 40 kilometres west of the resort, so you are crossing from Marne-la-Vallee into central Paris. By private car that is roughly a 45 to 60 minute drive, while the RER A offers a budget-friendly alternative with a change along the way.

As with any trip into the city, the deciding factor is how you want to travel rather than the raw distance. Below we lay out the route by car and by rail, and explain why families so often opt for a door-to-door transfer when the Eiffel Tower is on the itinerary.

How far is the Eiffel Tower from Disneyland Paris?

The Eiffel Tower sits around 40 km west of the resort. By road the drive generally follows the A4 towards Paris and then city roads to the 7th arrondissement, taking about 45 minutes when traffic is kind and closer to an hour as you push into the centre at busy times. Because the final stretch is through the city itself, the last few kilometres are the slowest, so allowing a little extra is sensible.

Getting there by RER and Metro

On public transport you take RER A from Marne-la-Vallee/Chessy towards central Paris, then change to RER C for Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel, or alight at a central hub and walk or take the Metro the rest of the way. Reckon on about an hour with the change. It is affordable and frequent, though the platforms can be busy and you will be on your feet for some of the connection — worth bearing in mind with tired children at the end of the day.

Ride straight to the Iron Lady

A private transfer takes your group from the resort towards the Eiffel Tower with no changes, free child seats and a fixed price. Arrange a return pickup for a relaxed day.

Why families choose a private transfer

A city day with young children is easier when the travel is simple. A private car collects you at the resort and drops you close to the Tower with no platform changes, no crowds to navigate with a buggy, and the whole family in one vehicle for a single fixed fare. Free child seats keep little ones comfortable and within the law. For larger parties, our group transfer service seats seven to eight in one minivan, which often works out neatly per head.

Making the most of your day

The Eiffel Tower and its surroundings — the Trocadero, the Seine, the Champ de Mars — easily fill several hours, and many visitors pair it with another central sight. An early start gives you the best light and the shortest queues, and a pre-arranged return pickup means you finish the day without a dash for the last comfortable train. We can drop you near the Tower and collect you at an agreed time and place; just share your plans via our contact page.
